Belal Skeik

Belal graduated from the University of Toronto with a B. Comm in 2003 and started working at Deloitte in Toronto in September of 2003. He worked on large public companies such as Shoppers Drug Mart, Cadbury Canada Inc and Carlson Marketing in his years in Toronto. In 2005, Belal transferred to the Deloitte Edmonton office and became a manager in the audit and assurance group with his major clients being The Brick Group Income Fund and Finning Canada to name a few. He left Deloitte to become the controller at Finning Canada and oversaw the accounting department while supporting the Vice President of Finance in managing and reporting on revenues exceeding $2.3 billion. His key duties were managing the financial reporting process, forecasting, capital expenditures and external reporting, while supporting the purchasing group, fleet, working capital management and external audit management. Belal was in charge of the development and execution of cash flow forecasting and reporting on yearly cash flows in excess of $200 million. In 2013, Belal decided to follow his desire to run his own business and became a partner at OES Group LLP. Since then, he has concentrated on small to mid-sized businesses with a focus on small business tax and financial reporting requirements.
